Teaching Experience
My first job in education was in Phoenix, Arizona teaching band, strings and classroom music. After 3 years, I moved back to the Bemidji area to work for the Red Lake School District at the Ponemah School. I spent 10 years teaching K-8 classroom music with some instrument lessons on the side. My students had the opportunity to play Native American flutes, learn ukulele, and perform in a bucket drum ensemble! After leaving Ponemah, I took a special education job in Bemidji working at Lakeside Learning Center, a Level IV EBD program. The following year I moved to Bemidji Middle School where I ran the Level III EBD inclusion room.
About Me
Bemidji, Minnesota is my hometown. I have lived in Florida and Arizona but keep getting drawn back to Northern Minnesota for one reason or another. I have two kids, Harrison (13) and Eleanor (10). I love to bake, paint, box, and do all things outdoors! An early morning kayak when the lake is still is one of my favorite things! One random tidbit about me is that I am an Etch a Sketch artist!

I have had a lot of unique experiences which allow me to support my students and staff in a variety of ways. My door is always open if you need to chat. I am delighted to be working at Indus School. I cannot wait to be part of all of the experiences and learning opportunities we are able to provide for students and the school community!
